For law firms & legal teams

Transcription that keeps privilege intact.

Client calls, hearings and dictation get transcribed and summarised on the machine they happened on. No cloud touches the audio, so there is no third party to put at risk and no data-processing agreement to chase.

Why on-device matters

Privilege stays yours

Privileged conversations never leave the device. There is no vendor server to subpoena or breach.

Professional secrecy, by design

Confidentiality duties (professional secrecy, GDPR) are easier to meet when nothing is transmitted. The architecture is the compliance argument.

No meter on local work

The complete local app is free, with unlimited meetings and dictation. Long hearing days never create a larger bill.

In practice

  • Client meetings: record with consent, and the labelled transcript plus summary are ready before the client reaches the lift.
  • Dictation. File notes, briefs and letters by voice, straight into the document.
  • Hearing prep: import a recording and search every word, then jump straight to the passage that matters.

Private by architecture.

Recording, transcription, speaker labels, voiceprints and the library all run on the device. There is no vendor cloud to audit. The network disclosure lists every optional connection and the switch that turns it off.

  • No account, no telemetry
  • Works fully offline (Hard Offline Mode)
  • Version-stamped network disclosure, per release

Common questions

Are we allowed to record client conversations?
That depends on your jurisdiction and consent, as with any recording tool. What LocalTranscript changes is what happens afterwards: the audio and transcript stay on your machine instead of a vendor's cloud. (Product information, not legal advice.)
Do transcripts or audio ever leave the device?
No. Recording, transcription and summaries run locally. The security page publishes the complete, version-stamped list of optional network calls, including update checks, and how to switch each one off.
Can the firm deploy it centrally?
Yes. IT can roll out a branded MSI silently via SCCM, Intune or GPO, with managed defaults for the whole fleet. Contact us to discuss your deployment.
