1. Who we are
LocalTranscript is made by Jenzer Innovations, Basel, Switzerland (full details on the imprint). These terms govern your use of the app and this website. Reach us any time at hello@localtranscript.com.
2. Free local application
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the complete local application without charge, account, activation key or artificial usage limit.
3. Optional connected services
Future connected services may have separate terms, privacy disclosures and pricing. They remain opt-in and are not required to use the complete local application.
4. No current local-app payment
We do not sell access to local features. If paid connected or organization services launch later, their price, renewal and cancellation terms will be shown before purchase.
5. Your content stays yours
Your recordings, transcripts, notes, and everything you create with the app are yours. They live on your machine, and we don't receive, store, or claim any rights to them. See Privacy for the details.
6. Acceptable use
Use the app lawfully. You are responsible for having the right to record and transcribe the conversations you process, including obtaining consent where the law requires it. Don't use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.
7. Intellectual property
The app, this website, and our branding belong to us and our licensors. The licence above doesn't transfer any ownership. Some components are provided under their own open-source licences.
8. Warranty & liability
The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for loss of data; back up your work. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Switzerland, and any dispute falls under the jurisdiction of the competent Swiss courts.
